There I was, riding on a plane

She came by and I heard her explain

Can someone help me

I stood and softly said

That I would put her stuff overhead

If she would let me

She sat down and she looked so fine

In the seat that was right next to mine

And whispered “Thank you”

I looked at her with a great big smile

And said, “Let’s just sit and talk a while.”

No need for “Thank you”

To this very day I don’t know why

I met her there in the deep blue sky

And came to love her.

I tell you I don’t mind confessing

That I learned to count my blessing

Because I love her
