Man

MAN

My carriage is upright

My bearing is straight

I walk on two legs

They call me man.
My first instinct is peace

My first need is food

My first desire is love

More than the dog, I wish to please

I am sensitive, impatient, and eager

I am ill-tempered with ignorance

I am more curious than the cat

I fear nothing but the unknown

And that I will conquer

I do not destroy

I seek to build
