Feelings of Love

Feelings of Love

Her bare skin

and delicate smell

please my apparatus

I am not mad

I do not scream

I do not storm

I do but moan beneath the shadow

YOUR HONEST LOOK & GENTLE STYLE

YOUR HONEST LOOK & GENTLE STYLE JC’s Sonnet

When I first I saw you standing there

With your shining eyes, your dimpled smile

Your handsome face and your chestnut hair

Your honest look and your gentle style

I thought, Oh! Could she be the one

To remove the fog that blurs my eyes

To place me once more under the sun

To bring back my smile and void my sighs!

Yes! You are the one I must pursue

To release me from a life of sham.

Yes !You are the one I must pursue

To return me to the man I am

And lo, These dreams turned out so true

Because of you, my love because of you

KENNY’S CHOICE

KENNY’S CHOICE  July 11, 2009\

The sea is calm

The sea is rough

Life is easy

Life can be to

Some paths are simple

Other paths are not

Some lead to peace

Some lead to rot

You chose a course

While still a boy

Which as a man

Will bring you joy

Though young in age

You are smart and kind

And satisfaction

Is what you’ll find

FOR YVONNE AND ALAN

FOR YVONNE AND ALAN  June 12, 2010

Listen children to what I say

We’re here to celebrate this day

Not clouds or gloom or wet or shine

This day is bright and good and fine

I spoke to the Gods and they said

Yvonne and Alan are to be wed

So eat and drink and be of cheer

For love and happiness are present here

DREAMS

DREAMS

Dreams really are a very funny thing.

No, not ha ha, but it’s the thoughts they bring.

For some it’s a hero or soldier or cop

or just being a real great guy kinda’ like pop.

And as for the girls, well I do know some,

I just bet they want to be like their mum.

But as for me, I’m very different see,

‘cause I don’t know what I want to be.

I lead a charge of cavalry, riding my bike.

Or invent a brand new ice-cream everyone would like

or else knock the bully down on the floor

and just get to kiss the cute girl next door.

I guess I could do about anything,

Except I know I cannot sing.

FOR ELLIOT

FOR ELLIOT

What’s in the future is hard to tell

So use this poem and use it well

Just keep on going

For I am knowing

You have the stuff to make it swell

FOR BABIES “A” AND “B”, ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR 37TH BIRTHDAY

FOR BABIES “A” AND “B”, ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR 37TH BIRTHDAY

March 1, 2004

We are gathered here to celebrate

an extraordinary and wondrous date

Let there be food and joy and mirth

On this special day of birth

….and I must rush to tell the truth

About the wonderful Jennie and Ruth

Who both are smart and kind and good

So let it best be understood

That we are here to ring the happy bell

We are here to wish them well

Say it one and say it many

Happy Birthday Ruth and Jennie!

OH FABULOUS DAY

OH FABULOUS DAY   JC June 2004

“Oh fabulous day” he smiled his daily joy

He did this every day for about a year now

When awake he danced and pranced like a little boy

For she warmed his heart though he knew not how

Through electric magic she entered his life

Brought him peace and solace and opened his eyes

She cleansed his heart and removed his strife

And helped him renew his family ties

And it was strange, for she was not his type,

Her body was short, her figure not quite right

Her face, while pretty not meet current hype

Yet all in all she looked good and was bright

……unfinished

ON THE GROWTH OF THE CLAN

ON THE GROWTH OF THE CLAN    4/07

Listen my children as I begin

To tell of a party for the birth of a twin

This family loves to celebrate,

And bond in joy and drink and lick the plate.

We chatter and chatter and make a din

Happily wax and fill the space therein

So ruminate and meditate

And applaud the great gestate.

Oh yes, and another bit for the head to spin,

‘twas one of our twins did conceive a twin.

So standup and cheer and say it’s great,

That mother and sister too we host this date

Though both joys are belated,

They shall be celebrated.

We shall be animated; it is quite feted

HOPE

HOPE

Darkness and gloom were everywhere

Over the land and in every lane

Reflecting moods into the air.

Some thoughts lurking in my brain,

Kindly, caring, musing, but not quite there

Yet I can glimpse it, just the same
